When you are a football fan, there is ONE football stadium to visit in London, it is the Emirates Stadium, the new stadium of the Arsenal football team since 2006. So, during our stay in London, Benoît brought myself and baby boy for a tour of Arsenal’s stadium : the Emirates Stadium. After a great morning visiting this famous stadium, here is our feedback and all practical information you need to know. And how to buy tickets for the Arsenal Stadium Tour.
How to get to the Arsenal Stadium Tour?
To go to the Emirates Stadium, two underground stations provide access to it : Arsenal or Holloway Road. Both are located on the Piccadilly line. If you are coming from central London, take the direction of Cockfosters: “Eastborn Platforms”. We advise you to choose Holloway Road station because you will arrive directly in front of the stadium. While at Arsenal station, you have to walk along the stadium for a long time. For your information, Arsenal station is the only one open on match days.
Once arrived, join the shop, the entry point to the “Stadium & Museum Tours”.
Where can I buy tickets to the Arsenal Stadium Tour?
Before leaving for London, we bought our tickets because there was no question of missing the Arsenal Stadium Tour. It also saved us waiting at the entrance because we already had our tickets and the visit started immediately. We strongly recommend it if you visit the Emirates Stadium with children.
The price of the Arsenal stadium Tour costs a little more than 20$.But the visit is included in many London Pass !
To buy our tickets, we got them on Ceetiz. However, it is not the only website to book a visit of the Emirates Stadium (or any other activity in London). Here are the different websites where you can buy your entrance tickets:
A new website that we love is Ceetiz because a large majority of the tickets can be added directly to your phone. No need to print, just scan your smartphone. It’s much more convenient when travelling.
If you are looking for many activities even the most unusual, take a look at Viator. There are all the possible attractions all over the world. A great website to book the best activities.
Arsenal Stadium Tour : review
Going into the backrooms of a football stadium is quite an experience! And what about getting so close to the grass of a stadium. Even for me (Nadia) who isn’t a soccer fan, I must say that I enjoyed the visit. And I’m not saying that about the locker rooms! The football stadium is part of English culture. And I’m glad I had the experience. It made me want to go to a soccer game to enjoy the atmosphere of such a stadium when full.
You have to live it ! When you’re down in the arena, in the tunnel with the lawn in sight, you can only imagine what it must feel like for the players few second before a big match. The pressure! And what about the VIP stands overlooking the stadium: magnificent. Between the changing rooms, press and interview rooms, we are completely immersed in the world of Arsenal. This is a great opportunity to get behind the scenes of your idols.
The trophy room says a lot about the club’s record! With so many cups lined up next to each other, Arsenal is a legendary club in English and world football. And now, we can touch this myth with our fingertips!
In short, we loved the visit and the very nice staff who took the time to talk with us. They were very amused that we took our son, who was barely sixteen months old to the Arsenal Stadium Tour.
How long does the visit to the Emirates Stadium last?
You can expect a good two hours to visit the stadium by following the audio-guide. Then the visit ends with the Museum: it takes about 30 minutes.
Finally, it is impossible not to stop at the shop and fall for one (or more…) souvenir !
