When our son was 15 months old and I had a bad back pain from carrying him, we looked for an ultra-compact 2nd age stroller. A few weeks before we flew to London, our new stroller had to be packed in carry-on baggage. But there was no question of buying an expensive Babyzen Yoyo. It was by chance that we discovered the Pockit GB stroller. As soon as we saw it folded and read its weight and dimensions, at 11:30 pm, we bought it immediately. Since then, we haven’t left it. When travelling as well as on a daily basis, the Pockit GB is always useful (even if I still prefer the baby carrier). If you are looking for an ultra compact stroller, here is our test & long term review of the Pockit GB stroller.

Why did we buy the GB Pockit stroller?
What I liked most of all was that this ultra-compact stroller is high. Our baby is not at the same level as cars exhaust pipes, which was a huge inconvenience for me with other models of compact strollers.
Then, of course, it is its dimensions and weight. Barely 4.3 kg, it is very light to carry. Because when travelling (and even on a daily basis), there is one thing I hate above all: pushing an empty stroller. There, it is very easy to carry it once it is folded (for instance) in its carrying bag. Nothing like the Yoyo Babyzen, which is very heavy to carry (and for good reason, it weighs 6.4 kg). When travelling by train, it fits easily under a seat. If you take a plane, you can bring it like a hand luggage. In short, the GB Pockit is the smallest and lightest stroller in the world.
Thanks to this stroller, once folded, it was easy to sneak into London’s crowded subway system without any problems. And for good reason, it’s the smallest stroller in the world.
Finally, it must be pointed out that the GB Pockit stroller is one of the cheapest models available when looking for a compact stroller. We didn’t want to put in a lot of money when we usually prefer our baby carrier. At less than $200 and sometimes, its price is unbeatable while competing models are between $250 and $500! Robust, it is the best value for money!
Cheap, ultra light, ultra small, the Pockit GB stroller goes in carry-on baggage and fits everywhere. On a daily basis, as on a trip, it is our best ally so as not to get too tired carrying our toddler.

Pockit GB stroller, our review
The Pockit stroller, a comfortable stroller
Between its price and its dimensions, we were necessarily afraid that our little boy would not be very comfortable in this stroller. And yet, after almost a year of use, our child seems very well settled in. He has even fallen asleep there a few times (although he much prefers the baby carrier for his nap outside). The Pockit GB stroller is therefore comfortable for babies and yet, we have been living in a neighbourhood undergoing renovation for months…! Not to mention the cobblestones, the twisted sidewalks and all the hazards of a city streets.
GB Pockit, a robust and handy stroller
Moreover, compact does not mean fragile. After several trips by train, plane, to the beach, without forgetting the daily shopping that our stroller helps us to carry (heavily), our stroller is still there as new. The Pockit stroller seems very robust to us. A small point of detail, the handle cover is still the same as the day we bought it and is very comfortable.
Very stable, it is easy to handle… I no longer count the number of times when “surprised” by the rain, I push with one hand and hold the umbrella with the other. This is a very important point to overcome the many obstacles when walking.
As for the basket under the stroller, it is very solid and very practical. It’s easy to put our groceries in there and it hasn’t moved nor broken. While the one of our first stroller, however much bigger, very quickly showed signs of weakness. This small basket is essential on a trip to put the water bottle, his meal or the baby carrier under the stroller.
Easy folding and maximum compactness
Very small, it makes it very easy to take bus, tramway, train or metro. It takes up very little space in the stroller space of buses for instance. And if there are people, I can easily fold it before.
Easy to fold, however, it does not fold with one hand. Also remember to block the rotation of the wheels before starting the folding process. Nevertheless, even on my own I fold it easily, carrying my son with one arm, while bending with both hands the stroller. Once folded, it is so tiny that I can carry it with one hand, while holding my son’s hand in the other.
(Note, on this picture, it is not even folded to its maximum! But that’s more than enough to go down a staircase for example)
To finish on its advantages, the Pockit covers wash very well and dry very quickly. And it stands upright when folded, which is very convenient for storing it. And I’m not talking about the unfolding, which is very easy with one hand.
The small flaws of the Pockit GB stroller
In my opinion, the sun protection includes is not big enough! In the summer, we had to add or firts stroller ‘s umbrella on the Pockit to protect our child from the sun. (I find umbrella annoying…). The ideal solution is to buy a universal sun protection or to opt for the Pockit + stroller from GB (see below).
Second point, like a cane stroller, it does not bow for baby’s nap. It’s not an inconvenient for us because our son is tall and rarely falls asleep in his stroller since forever. However, if your child spends a lot of time in his stroller and falls asleep easily, it is better to choose the Pockit +. This is especially if your child is less than one year old.
Nevertheless, in my opinion, the Pockit GB stroller is an ideal purchase and the best ultra-compact stroller available at a great price! And this, at less than $200.
The essential accessories for the Pockit GB stroller
Pockit travel bag
If there is indeed an essential accessory purchase with the Pockit, it is the travel bag. Don’t think it’s useful only on vacation. On a daily basis, the stroller is stored in its bag in the entrance of our apartment. This prevents soiling the entrance, especially in autumn and winter. When travelling, it is much more convenient to carry the stroller this way. In short, we don’t regret buying it because we use it every day. In addition, its folding system is ingenious and can be fixed on the stroller.
Sun protection for Pockit
The Pockit has a fairly small sun protection that makes it difficult to properly protect baby from the sun. My advice: keep your old sunshade, otherwise opt for universal sun protection. You will easily find low-cost UV protection that perfectly solves this small shortcoming of the Pockit.
Baby rain cover for Pockit
No rain protection is provided. Usually, we prefer to take the bus when it rains because walking in the rain is not pleasant anyway. But here again, you can find a cheap universal rain protection.
Other GB stroller
If you have a slightly larger budget and a child under one year old, we recommend the Pockit + de GB.
It is a little heavier because it weighs 5.6 kg but also passes as carry-on baggage. Its folded dimensions are: Length: 20 cm / Width: 32 cm / Height: 38 cm. The sun protection is larger and above all it tilts. Like the Pockit, it is available at a very affordable price.
The other GB strollers are heavier and less small, so they do not fit in carry-on luggage. However, they have a more compact folding system than the average of the other strollers’ brand.
9-17 kg (6 months to 4 years) / weight: 7.2 kg / dimensions folded : Length: 38 cm / Width: 48 cm / Height: 52 cm
This model includes adapters that allow you to attach a cosy or new born canopy to the stroller for the first six months. It is therefore compatible from birth to 4 years old / weight: 7.2 kg / dimensions folded: Length: 38 cm / Width: 48 cm / Height: 52 cm
